Talk Story: Sweet Memories of Old Koloa
Hosted by Koloa Union Church
Join retired pastor Niles Kageyama at the historic Koloa Union Church as he shares memories of growing up at the plantation camp in old Koloa. The cultures, food, values and traditions that came together as part of “camp life” are the foundation of local culture today. During this “talk story”, Niles will take you on a journey back in time in Old Koloa enhanced by slides of what life was like in camp and in town. Talk story begins promptly at 4:30pm. After the talk story, take a walk – the Old Koloa Town Historic walks starts at 5:30pm down the road at Koloa School.
